What to Expect at Your First Matchmaker Consultation | VEENI North America

People arrive at their first VEENI consultation in a range of states. Some are nervous. Some are carefully prepared with rehearsed answers. Some aren't sure why they're there at all, except that something nudged them toward trying something different.

All of these are fine. None of them are what we're paying most attention to.

What the consultation is actually for

The first consultation has one purpose: for your matchmaker to genuinely understand you. Not your profile metrics. Not your career trajectory. The actual you — including the parts you're uncertain about, the things you want that you haven't told many people, and the patterns in your past relationships that you've noticed but not quite resolved.

"I came prepared to describe my achievements. She asked me when I last felt truly relaxed in a relationship. I hadn't thought about that question in years. It turned out to be exactly the right question."

The questions we actually ask

We don't ask "what are your deal-breakers?" We ask "when did you last feel genuinely at ease with someone?" We don't ask about salary or requirements. We ask what support looks like for you in a relationship. These questions have no right answers — your responses help us understand something real about you.

One practical suggestion: spend 10 minutes before your consultation thinking about what you actually want from a relationship — not what you think you should want, and not a list of partner qualities. Just: what would a good relationship feel like? This tends to make the conversation more useful for both of us.

What happens after

The first consultation is free and carries no commitment. After we speak, your matchmaker will take time to consider whether and how VEENI can help. We'll follow up within a few days with our thinking. If we don't think we're the right fit, we'll tell you that too — directly and kindly.
